I’m Valeria, Founder of Miami School Advisors. I am exclusively a PK-12th School Consultant, an expert in public and private schools in Miami.
My #1 goal is to find a school you love and help you navigate the very competitive admission process. It’s not about the school you need today, it’s about your children’s future and what path you want to take.
Valeria casts a wide network and her relationships and experience allow her to
be an expert in everything related to schools in South Florida. She maintains
strong ties with all the leading private and public schools. Seven admission seasons and counting, she has visited and
toured close to 100 schools in South Florida.
Valeria founded Miami School Advisors after years of relocating Fortune 500
executives to Miami. Her own personal journey of finding the
right schools for her children laid the foundation for understanding the
opportunities and challenges with education in Miami.
She started her career in marketing and sales, and worked for NBC, Univision,
Disney Channel among others. She lived in New York and Hong Kong, and
understands the intricacies of a relocation and the importance of building a
community in a new city and a new school. She holds a business degree from FIU
and a MBA from the University of Florida. She’s called Miami home since 1993,
and she splits her time between Colorado and Miami.

You need to start your research early. We recommend looking at schools 12-18 months before the start of the school year.
Tip: New parents, start exploring schools no later than when your child is two years old.
Everyone can explore the Miami-Dade County Public Schools. The type of programs and schools available will depend on your geography, your criteria and whether you can supply a proof of address and/or have met specific requirements.
Biggest benefit: FREE Education, paid through tax payers money.
Miami has some phenomenal schools that offer competitive education with emphasis in specific subject areas and interests.
Tip: Apart from your neighborhood schools, families can access magnet programs and “choice in” to a selective group of schools regardless of where they live.
Fact: Online rankings and information you find on the internet are often not the most accurate reflection of a school’s offering.
If you are considering a School of Choice / Magnet schools, these are extremely competitive and admission involves a lottery process
Resources, support and almost always good infrastructure. You get what you pay for.
Private Schools can be expensive and admission is extremely competitive, especially with the growing popularity of Miami, as an ideal place to live and work.
We are a resource, your coach and companion through the admissions process. Our service does not guarantee admission to any particular school, but the majority of our clients have options for school come March 1.
